Course programme
The aim
To equip people with the skills to handle difficult situations when giving feedback.
About the programme
Giving feedback is something we do day-in, day-out, with our teams and with our peers. It may be informal coaching; it may be a formal performance review. However we communicate it, giving feedback constructively is a skill central to the success of any team and its leader.
This engaging programme provides specific behavioural techniques for recognising, and dealing with, the four most common difficult situations encountered when giving feedback.
Using clear, structured training points, this programme will show you how to: respond when someone is not motivated to listen to feedback; structure feedback if someone is uncommitted to action; position feedback if the person gets angry, shocked or upset; and give feedback if someone disagrees with you.
By learning to deal with disagreements, understanding the importance of acknowledging the emotions involved, implementing two-way feedback and contracting, and linking feedback to specific goals, those who give feedback will see an increase in the energy, motivation and productivity of those around them.
The key outcomes
-Learn the skills to positively handle negative situations surrounding feedback
-Discover a more effective approach to management and leadership
Programme includes:
DVD (22 mins)
Workbook on disc
Information:
An Ash Quarry Production.
