Glass Engraving All Levels

Beginners will be introduced first to hand engraving, and a little later to the basics of drill engraving. They will then, with guidance, be able to select a specialism. More experienced engravers will receive help in specialist areas. Students will be taught the use of different types of stone, polishing in problem areas etc. All students will receive help and guidance, with designing for glass and encouragement to track a variety of subjects and objects. You will be able to produce a basic piece of hand engraving in stipple and/or line. You will be able to produce a basic piece of drill work. A College Certificate will be awarded on request.Learning will be through: A. Principally practical experience working on own projects. Individual tuition. B. Watching practical demonstrations by tutor on a wide variety of subjects and objects. C. Occasional formal input sessions when theory will be discussed.
