You will explore a range of mixed media drawing materials and experiment with mono print, collage and the use of imitation gold leaf and coloured ink. Develop a personal sketchbook as a visual research resource, build simple models of spaces to use as inspiration for your drawings. A short introduction to colour theory is included. Every session will begin with an introduction to a specific method. The starting theme of the course will be ‘people in the city’.

• Build a simple maquette to support idea development; to inspire a drawing or painting; to present an idea.
Basic materials are included in the course fee. You should bring an A4 hard-back sketchbook or sketchpad.
