Save Time and Money - advice for marketers looking for training
The Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications offer four levels that can act as a helping hand into the world of marketing. These levels are: Introductory Certificate, Professional Certificate, Professional Diploma and the Chartered Professional Post Graduate in Marketing.
The Professional Diploma and Professional Postgraduate Diploma were reviewed by CIM in 2009 and a NEW syllabus will be introduced in September 2009, along with a new Chartered Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing qualification. These changes have brought about a change in the academic requirements that are needed to enter at the various levels.
For those interested in pursuing a career in marketing, it is probably necessary to seek advice about entry levels. By beginning on the correct level, it is possible to save a lot of time and money.
It may be possible on the basis of work experience and/or qualifications to enter at the higher levels. We will be happy to make an assessment of your entry level, according to any supporting evidence you can provide, and will help you with your application.
Oxford College of Marketing will try to help students with marketing experience (but no marketing in their degree) to gain entry to a higher level of study where possible. Some graduates without marketing in their degree, and no marketing experience, may be referred to the Professional Certificate level if the CIM and Centre Manager believe this to be the best route for the student.
Graduates with marketing experience (but no marketing in their degree) can now do the Oxford College of Marketing Graduate Foundation Programme. This short course will help you to revise basic marketing theory covered in the lower level courses and will help to prepare you for the CIM level entry tests. The test, along with advice from the college, should help you to decide your level of entry.
The Graduate Foundation Programme Intense Weekends covering essential marketing theory will be held throughout the year.
The Oxford College of Marketing offer gives graduates the opportunity to save a year of study and get a higher qualification. Self financing students will also save money.
