Gain skills in groupwork facilitation; review and develop yourleadership. style and effectiveness. Increased individual awareness of how you function and interact and the. impact you have in groups. Suitable for: Anyone who works with or facilitates groups, and those who work in teams. Including amongst others: managers, HR staff, team leaders, project managers. teachers, probation officers, those working in the NHS, GPs. management consultants. voluntary sector workers. psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists.

Michael Ellis MA, UKCP Registered, BACP Registered practitioner, is a psychotherapist, consultant and trainer with twenty years experience of working with groups and consulting to teams in various settings particularly in the public and voluntary sector. He is a Director of the Gestalt Centre and a tutor on the MA programme in group and individual psychotherapy. His MA is in Consultancy with Organisations from the Tavistock Clinic.
Course programme
Group Facilitation
This short course provides an intensive, stimulating learning context to develop your groupwork practice.
There are 3 components to the course:
- A workshop programme with relevant theory on the role of leadership, styles of intervention, issues in practice such as gender, race and culture, plus much more
- Work/application workshop with opportunities for discussion, practice and feedback
- The experiential “here and now” study group to explore and research group functioning and individual behaviour
10am - 5pm on all nine days
