· Course Overview: · The Diploma will allow you to study a mixture of qualification that meet your interest and needs. The Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies will give you a head start should you consider a career in hair, beauty, nails or spa and provide you with a good grounding in skills that employers need, such as English, Maths and ICT as well as personal learning and thinking skills. Starting in year 10 the qualification is equivalent to 7 GCSE�s A -C. The Diploma is made up of 5 different parts, which are Principle learning, project, Personal learning and thinking skills, functional skills and additional and specialist learning. All these parts will be taught at college, apart from functional skills which will be taught at school. Additional and specialist learning dependant on the choice of subject will either be taught at school or college. The Diploma is mainly theory based with some practical aspects
