Is the course for me?
This course is suitable for you if you are interested in hairdressing and would like to learn basic hairdressing skills. All students will complete the Hairdressing Level 2 NVQ. This will cover all the basic areas of hairdressing. Students will be competent to gain employment on successful completion of this qualification.

What will I learn?
The course consists of both written and practical areas of hairdressing. Progress will be monitored on completion of assignments and practical observations. These will be ongoing until the end of the course. You are required to purchase a uniform for approx £53.45. You are also required to purchase a hairdressing kit for approx £232.50 and a polo shirt, costing approximately £10.75.

How will I be assessed?
The course will include practical assessments, written assignments and the completion of a log book.

What can I do after the course?
You can become a salon stylist, technician, lecturer, freelance hairdresser or progress onto the National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Hairdressing/ Beauty.
