Working as a makeup artist, hair styling skills will be useful at many levels, fashion editorial, and various commercial roles wherein the client doesn’t have a budget to pay for both a hair and a makeup artist.

This course will cover many vintage hairstyling methods which are the foundation for many hair looks created today. Even though you’re not dying or cutting anyone’s hair, you will gain the ability to transform your client or models look for the red carpet, the film set, the stage, or a special occasion.

Taught by Susanna Peretz a London-based Hair/Make-up/Fx designer with a career established over twenty five years. She has worked throughout Europe, America and the Far East collaborating with film makers, artists, creatives and writers incl. Ai Weiwei, Alan Moore, Alexandre Singh, Nathaniel Mellors.

This course includes:

  • Heated roller sets, vintage style
  • 20s finger waves
  • Braiding techniques
  • Basic trim of long hair
  • Historical up styles
  • Blow dry with round brushes
  • Back combing
