Students learn about identifying skin types and conditions and how to prepare their canvas. Correct cleansing, toning and moisturising are the rudiments to the application of the perfect base. Students are taken through the practical steps of choosing and applying colour correctors, foundations, concealers and powder to set their canvas. Eyeshadows, liners and eyebrow definition; lip products and corrective techniques; blushers and bronzers; highlighting and contouring to define and enhance your client’s features are all explored on this Make-up course along with strip and individual lash application to really enhance the overall creation.

During this Make Up Course, you will learn:

Skin - learn how to distinguish between a variety of skin types and conditions. You will also be have practical introduction to the correct preparation and care of the skin.

Hygiene - In order to prevent infectious diseases spreading, as well as to maintain the quality of the products you will be using.
Faces - learn how to recognise each shape
Eyebrow Shaping - Learn both how to tweezer the brow and threading
Colour Correction Techniques - balance extremes of skin hues to produce a beautiful, even tone
Equipment - Learn how to care for your products, what to include in your kit and more.
Use of Concealers - Using the correct tone to hide blemishes and uneven colouring to achieve a 'natural' appearence.
Product Awareness - Learn which types of make up blend well together, and which don't!
How to Apply Eye make-up - definition lines, smoky eyes, natural eyes, deep socket application and many more.
Application of Eye-liners - how to apply both liquid and pencil eye-liner.
How to Apply False Eyelashes - strip and individual.
Client Consultation - Presentation is key! Learn how to maintain clientele and customer relations.

Whilst attending classes, the academy will provide all the make-up products you will need. You will, however, require your own set of professional make-up brushes to use while attending this make up course and for practising the make up techniques you have learnt at home.
