Bridget Woods-Kramer

teacher

Bridget is passionate about the physical alignment of the poses but with physical alignment alone, a pose is dry. It's ones attitude and expression of the heart that brings a posture alive. Bridget's style of dynamic yoga has developed from her time teaching and studying at what is considered to be the USA's most authentic and groundbreaking school, Yoga Works in Santa Monica.

Course programme

Anusara Immersion

Anusara Yoga was founded by John Friend in 1997. Anusara means 'flowing with grace'.

It is a Hatha Yoga system that combines concise bio-mechanical principals of alignment (called the universal principals of alignment) and a non dual heart-orientated Tantric philosophy. Anusara philosophy begins with the recognition that one Universal Spirit pulsates as the essence of everything.

This in-depth study course is designed to provide a practical understanding of Anusara Yoga for all serious students or teacher trainees and is a pre-requisite for the Anusara Inspired and further training towards Certification. During each module you will dive deeply into the essence of the Anusara method. You will learn the universal principals of alignment explore the teachings of Tantric philosophy and practise the subtle art of Pranayama & Meditation.

The entire course is run in two parts - Parts 1 and 2, of 3 weekends each. This offers a comprehensive understanding of alignment + philosophy with each weekend building on the previous.

Each weekend will consist of 12 hours of class, with 60% spent on asana practice and the alignment principles along with teaching techniques. The remainding 40% of the time will be split between Anusara philosophy, anatomy study, principles of breath and pranayama, and meditation/contemplation.
