What you will learn On successful completion of the course those attending should be able to: Define the types of hazard that might be presented by a forensic scene or by the weapon used Discriminate between a range of systematic options for managing CBRN and hazardous scenes Evaluate the value of evidence and its admissibility due to possible contamination Prepare a crime scene report for a CBRN scene which objectively critiques the methodologies used and draws justified conclusions appropriate for the evidence Appraise the evidence and procedures specific to the use of a hazardous material and understand the challenges presented.

This short course will be taught at Masters standard as it is one of the modules that comprise the postgraduate Forensic Modular Masters Programme. Registering for this accredited short course and successfully passing the associated assessment will gain you 10 Cranfield credits. These could then be used to apply for a transfer towards a PgCert/PgDip or MSc in the Forensic Programme should you wish to complete one of these courses within 5 years.
