About this course

You will need to be at least 16 years of age and demonstrate a keen interest in health and social care. You must also show the ability to work at Level 2 e.g. three GCSEs (grade D or above) including English or literacy at Level 1 or above. Criminal Record Bureau checks are required.

What will I learn?

You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions some lectures and practical activities. You will complete a minimum of 60 hours work experience placement

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a mixture of assignments and portfolio tasks, with a multiple choice test. You must achieve a Pass for your work experience from you placement supervisor.

What could I do next?
You may progress to a social work or other related degree course. You could gain employment in a range of careers e.g. within the caring professions, education, health and social care.
