You will need to show a keen interest in health and care. You do not need any previous qualifications, however, you will be interviewed and a selection process is used. The course will give you the opportunity to improve your literacy and numeracy skills. Criminal Record Bureau checks are required.

You are assessed through a mixture of assignments and portfolio tasks, with a multiple choice test.

For those who complete the course with a merit or distinction can apply for the BTEC First Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will also have access to a range of careers and further education opportunities such as the Apprenticeships in health and social care.
