A BTEC First Certificate is a nationally recognised vocational qualification that is practical in content and delivers work-related learning. The course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills that are required to work in the health and social care sectors. The A level course provides an insight into the health and social care professions. Students interested in a career in the health sector, social services or teaching will find it of particular benefit. Studies include psycho-social aspects of development, disease trends and the impact of effective communication on health, as well as the services provided in the health, care and early years sectors. You will also consider current ethical and equal opportunities issues and develop skills in personal interaction.
