The Criminal Records Bureau check costs approx 36 (it is subject to price changes beyond our control). Travel to placements is also a cost but we will try to place you where you can use your bus pass/walk or where you tell us you can get a lift.
The Programme
This programme introduces a range of subjects related to health and social care. It is assessed through coursework. It is an excellent starting point for people considering the possibility of a career working in care or with children.
You will need to have a satisfactory result from your Criminal Records Bureau check and Fitness to Train because you will be working with vulnerable people as part of this course

There are also blocks of work experience.
Progression / Careers
Progression to BTEC First Diploma in Health & Social Care, or for those with excellent placement reports and a positive attitude it may be possible to go directly to a full time NVQ 2 in Early Years/Care or Teaching Assistants.
