What will you be learning?
The course will help you gain experience in your preferred care area and profession. These can include support work, with either the elderly or clients with learning difficulties, paramedic or social work and nursing. As a College we are committed to finding students a suitable placement.
The course consists of 4 mandatory units and 2 optional units. The choice of units is very specific to the client's needs, and you will be advised on these either by your employer or your tutor. Assessment is continuous and based on your assessment of your competency in the work placement.
What happens when you have finished?
Once you have successfully completed this course you may seek full-time employment within health and care. You can progress to an NVQ 3 and use this as an entry to go on to university.
