Ideally you should have completed the relevant level 2 units and your Maths and English should be of a good standard, or you should have the relevant trade experience in the chosen subject. If Maths or English are not at the required level, candidates will be required to take part in Key Skills. This would either be block form or extended hours.

Course Content:
The course is a mixture of both theory and practical and you can use it to become qualified in a wide range of subjects relating to Heavy Goods Vehicles.

You will be required to attend on a regular basis, as there is a 90% attendance requirement on the course. Assessments will be via computer based, on-line testing and practical assessments.

Progression:
Previous qualified students have obtained employment into local garages. Successful students may qualify to sit IMI Automotive Technician Accreditation. (Industry required skills assessment).
