This course is designed to develop and stretch academic and practical knowledge and skills in the dynamic and varied field of engineering and associated industries. This course is offered by Weston College in collaboration with the North Somerset
consortium of schools.

The topics you will study include:

· Investigating and exploring the world of engineering
· Engineering design and solutions
· Computer aided design, simulation and manufacture
· Engineering maintenance
· Electronics and electrical systems
· Engineering innovation and enterprise
· The advancement of technology.

The course will also develop your analytical, creative, problem-solving
and interpersonal skills and open your mind to the possibilities engineering, product design and innovation offers to a variety of organisations and businesses.

During the course you will have the opportunity to achieve additional
qualifications in English and Maths as well as specialist engineering and design qualifications.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously during the course through a range of assignments, work-related research and investigations. You will be
involved in designing and developing engineering products and systems as part of project work with actual businesses.
