The Higher Diploma in Society, Health and Development is designed to develop your academic and practical skills and knowledge of the children†s services, health, community justice and adult social care sectors.
The topics you will study include:
· Principles, values and personal development
· Working together and communication
· Safeguarding and protecting individuals
· Growth development and healthy eating
· Antisocial and offending behaviour
· Supporting children and young people
· Patient centred health.
The course will develop your personal learning, thinking skills and ability to work as part of a team. In addition to this the course will also help develop your analytical, creative, problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
During the course you will have the opportunity to achieve additional
qualifications in English, Maths and IT as well as industry relevant
qualifications.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously during the course through a range of assignments, investigations and practical assessments. You will
undertake work experience and complete a work-related project.
