Fee Waiver: If you are studying part-time and are in receipt of a means tested benefit or low income your fees will be waived. Proof of benefit is required and should be brought at time of enrolment. ILA Scotland funding is available for Higher subjects. You must have your ILA Scotland account in place prior to the start date of any eligible course. This Course comprises:
Cell Function and Inheritance
The Continuation of Life
Behaviour, Populations and the Environment
The Course provides a broad-based, integrated study of a range of biological topics, which build on the concepts developed in the Standard Grade Biology and Intermediate 2 Biology Courses.
The Course content considers those aspects of biological science, which have more immediate relevance for the biology of the human species and the influence of humankind on the biological world. The development of knowledge and understanding, problem solving and practical abilities forms the basis of the Higher Course.

. Entry to Intermediate 2 requires Intermediate 1 or Standard Grade 3. . Entry to Higher requires Intermediate 2 (Grade A or B) or Standard Grade (1 or 2) or equivalent. . Guidance staff will be happy to discuss and take into account other learning or experience. . If you intend to resit a subject for which you already hold unit passes, please indicate this on your application form. In some subject areas we may offer exam only classes. . If English is not your first language you will be required to demonstrate English language skills equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
