What will you be learning?
This course is for people who want to work in the appropriate electrical or elctronics industries, manufacturing in supervisory or managerial engineering roles including senior technician.

Subjects include:

Year 1: Electrical and electronic principles; analytical methods for engineers; business management techniques; engineering science and engineering design.

Year 2: The completion of a project plus 4 optional units selected from: Programmable logic controllers; electrical , electronic and digital principles; operational amplifiers; utilisation of electrical energy; measurement and testing; control systems and automation; managing the work of individuals and teams; health and safety assessment; quality assurance and management; project management.

Assessment is mainly by coursework with time-constrained assessment, some of which are completed in class.

Students may have the opportunity to apply to complete a third year and obtain a top-up HND.
