You need to be employed in an appropriate mechanical engineering organisation and have a relevant Level 3 qualification. Applications from mature students with relevant work experience are also encouraged.

Year 1: Business management techniques, analytical methods for engineers; mechanical principles; engineering science and engineering design.
Year 2: The completion of a project, plus 4 optional units, selected from: Programmable logic controllers; advanced computer-aided design techniques; plant technology; quality assurance and management; materials engineering; manufacturing processes; health and safety and risk assessment; managing individuals and teams and project management.
Assessment is mainly by coursework with time-constrained assessments, some of which are completed in class.
