Teaching is via small group seminars where you will be encouraged to reflect upon and discuss your preparatory reading on each topic. When the opportunity arises seminars will be taken out of the classroom and artworks will be studied in situ. For the independent research project you work closely with your supervisor on a one to one basis to research and write on a topic related to your studies on the course.

Assessment:

Where possible assessment methods are tailored to the nature of the topic studied and will therefore vary according to your module choices. These are likely to include written assessments, slide tests, formal examinations, presentations and project work. The independent research project is a substantial piece of work the subject of which you will devise with guidance from your supervisor.
