Course programme
The first year aims to develop your creative skills in a range of 2D and 3D art forms from painting and illustration to jewellery and ceramics, with drawing as a central part of the course. You will be introduced to art and design software and develop your digital creative skills and techniques.
You will also undertake research and critical studies that will encourage you to engage with new ideas, theories and contemporary debate.
The second year allows you to specialise in an area of the visual arts. Regular critiques will provide clear feedback and guidance to help you develop your practice and build your confidence as an independent creative practitioner.
To continue your professional development, you will study units in work-based experience and develop a portfolio of work culminating in an exhibition that will give you the opportunity to showcase your work in a professional setting.
