Horse Care & Management Level 1 (Work-based Study)

You will study a range of topics that will enable you to work effectively and safely with horses. The topics studied will include assisting with routine stable management, assisting with routine husbandry tasks, safe handling practices, recognition of tack and its use and cleaning, health & safety and developing effective working relationships.Some students may also be given the opportunity to complete ridden units. The programme will be based in one of our approved training centres so you will be learning in an industry based commercial environment.
