This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to study horse care in the work place rather than attending a full time college course. To complete the programme you will need to secure a place at one of the College's approved training centres. This course will run at one of our approved training centres across the South West and dates will vary.

Course programme

You will study a range of topics that will enable you to work effectively and safely with horses. The topics studied will include maintaining horse health, stable management, grassland management, nutrition, health and safety, transportation and developing effective working relationships. Some students may also be given the opportunity to complete ridden units. The programme will be based in one of our approved training centres so you will be learning in an industry based commercial environment.
