Safeguarding Adultd

This interactive day will look at all aspects of Safeguarding from disclosure to Preventative strategies, whilst making delegates aware of their responsibilities.
This one day course will enable delegates to explore personal values and beliefs and explain the various types of abuse which people may be subjected to. The programme will establish a shared understanding of best working practice and offering support to help increase the understanding of organisational procedure for reporting abuse. It will provide participants with an understanding of legal requirements around the safeguarding adults

About this course

To identify types, causes, signs and signals of abuse.
To define what we mean by 'vulnerable adults'.
To develop an insight into how legislation/policy impacts on your role.
To describe and apply your own organisation's adult protection procedures.
To raise awareness of support systems for victims and carers in order to counsel on to other specialist agencies.
To recognise the stresses involved in dealing with allegations of abuse and identify support systems.
Understand the role, responsibilities and boundaries of the worker with regard to safeguarding individuals from danger, harm and abuse

This course is ideal for all staff working in a Health and Social care setting who require increased knowledge and skills to enable them to deliver an effective, caring, professional service to all service users/older Adults and who provide a supportive role to their families and carers
