Course programme
Accepting and Embracing Menopause: A Workshop for Women
A workshop for women experiencing the symptoms of menopause, those approaching menopause, those interested in preparing for menopause - or for those who are just curious.
There tends to be a lack of support for women wishing to experience the menopause naturally and so avoid HRT, anti-depressants or sleeping pills. Come and learn how to manage the menopause positively using hatha yoga postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation (mindfulness meditation, healing meditation and lovingkindness meditation). All these techniques can help to alleviate the peri-menopause and menopause symptoms, calming the mind and allowing us to experience being with rather than resisting or fighting the symptoms.
Students will leave with a practice (notes will be given out) and a feeling of empowerment and optimism.
