9 lectures23:54Purpose - creating events...that will work In this module which is divided up into 5 lectures I am going to show you what you need to do during the pre-event marketing stage. I want to then talk to you about some of the free market research techniques that exist and then move on to explain how you might conduct an event survey. In lesson 2, I want to show you the importance of setting an event aim and the absolute need to have a very clear idea of who is likely to be interested in attending or participating in your event - we call it your audience profile – something that big companies and service providers have been doing a long time. With the findings of your research to hand and a clear idea why and who you are running your event for: you can now decide based on this evidence what type of event you should be organisingAt the end of the module, I will summarise the 3 key learning points and ask you to complete the module 1 exercises in your workbook and read the additional materials in your reference manual and the supporting blog posts Pre-event market research In this lecture I will explain what you need to do to identify and establish and what opinions you need to seek as part of your pre-event market research vent market research is so important - if you want a successful event on your hands!
