Introduction:
Compliance with the 17th edition wiring regulations is mandatory. This course is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge and understanding of the scope, objectives and application of the regulations.

Study Mode & Location:
This part time course is to be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR. Alternatively this course can be delivered at business premises.

Course Content:
On completion of training candidates will be able to relate the requirements of the regulations to their work and install and maintain electrical supply systems to meet the requirements of the regulations. The course covers the following units:

  • Protection against thermal effects

  • Inspection

Assessment:
There will be a formal examination.

You will be required to purchase the recommended protective clothing necessary for this programme of study.
