ILM Award in Management
The ILM Level 5 Award in Management aims to give practising or potential managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic middle management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level. You will attend six workshops as part of the programme.

What does the course involve?
This course revolves around taught based classes and workshops to carry out practical tasks with tutor support. The course is taken in taught classes by experienced tutors in the area of marketing and management. To achieve the Award you need to become a member of the ILM and to pass all three modules.

What will I study?
Module 1: Understanding the Management Role Describe the organisation's purpose and its stakeholders. Understand the specific responsibilties of middle managers. Understand communication and interpersonal relationships affect managerial performance. Evaluate personal development opportunities to improve own managerial performance.

Module 2: Managing Individual Development Analyse the performance/behaviour gap between an individual and their job role. Evaluate a range of development vehicles to meet the development needs and identify the most suitable vehicles. Provide a development plan to enable the identified development needs to be met and progress monitored.

Module 3: Making Professional Presentations Identify the aims and objectives of the presentation and intended audience. Research and evaluate information. Plan the content of the presentation and prepare visual aids. Prepare the location, equipment and materials for a presentation. Evaluate own ability to make professional presentations.
