ILM - Certificate in Dental Practice Management

During the course they will learn and develop skills encompassing the challenges of working legally professionally, confidentially and within the remit of all current dental regulations

The course is tutor led over 6 full days in a classroom environment and formative assessments are used at the end of each module

Summative assessment at the end of the course is gained from a reflective assignment which should be submitted for assessment by a deadline at which point certification will be gained.

Course aim

To provide the learner with skills, information and the knowledge to perform their management role professionally and effectively in a dental practice environment and within the remit of all current dental regulations

At the end of this course the learner will be able to:

• Plan and allocate work in the dental practice
• Understand customer service standards and requirements and apply them in the workplace
• Understand how to motivate to improve team performance
• Understand conflict management and apply it in the workplace
• Understand stress management and apply it in the workplace
• Understand health and safety and apply it in the workplace
• Understand the communication process and apply it in the workplace
• Lead and motivate the dental team effectively

Course structure

This course is delivered each month and is tutor led in a classroom environment at the training centre in Cardiff; (excluding December)
