Programme Content

The progamme is unit based and candidates must complete six units in total to successfully complete the qualification. There are four mandatory units and candidates must choose an additional two units from a variety of available optional units to reflect their own work experience and business needs.

Mandatory Units

• Manage your own resources

• Provide leadership for your team

• Develop productive working relationships with colleagues

• Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety

Optional Units

• Encourage innovation in your team

• Allocate and check work in your team

• Provide learning opportunities for colleagues

• Resolve customer service problems

• Support customer service improvements

Assessment Process

Each unit is assessed through the observation and questioning of normal activities within the workplace and the development of a portfolio within which learners collect electronic, paper and witness statement evidence that they have covered the skills/knowledge required for the unit. Learners are also required to create reflective accounts of their work for inclusion in the portfolio.

Learners who do not complete the whole qualification can gain certification for those units they have successfully achieved. These certificates may also be used as evidence for the underpinning knowledge of appropriate NVQ units where learners wish to progress their studies further.

Length of Programme

We support learners and set standards to enable participants to achieve targets and personal goals at an agreed pace. All learners are supported by a dedicated uke learning assessor who provides advice, guidance and support in the workplace throughout the duration of the programme.

On demand and in the workplace to suit employer and employee needs.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry qualifications are required, although uke learning assessors will need to be confident that the learner is able to generate the evidence necessary to achieve the qualification at level 2. Participants should also demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy and possess excellent communication skills. Participants should have related work experience and a background which will enable them to benefit from the programme.
