Indian Cookery One Day Course
You will delight in the smells and tastes that are unique to Indian cookery. The aromas produced while cooking the spices and the sauces will make your mouth water in anticipation of tasting your own cooked meal.
Our course is designed to really help you understand how to produce the flavours that can be so elusive to get right. You will be able to reproduce the techniques learnt so that you can share new and exciting dishes with your family, such as:-
- Meat Samosas and Onion Bhajis
- Beef Madras, Chicken Korma, Mixed Vegetable Curry
- Braised or Pilaff Rice and Naan Bread
- Aloo Tikka, Goan Fish Curry
- Mango Kulfi, Iced Lime Refresher
- and much, much more
Each region of India has left its influence on Indian Cookery and you will be able to learn the secrets that make each dish unique.
Indian Cookery Course - An outline of the day
The Indian cookery course day starts at 10:00 am with morning coffee and home made biscuits. This will give you the opportunity to meet up with your fellow participants. You will then be taken to our purpose built, fully equipped kitchen where there is plenty of working space for each student. There will be a run through of the course menu plan for the day and tuition for the selected dishes. You will then prepare and cook your dishes sampling as you go. Finally a sit down meal will be served with wine in the afternoon. We aim to finish the course at 4:00 pm.
We hope we have tempted you to join our Indian Cookery Course and look forward to welcoming you to our school situated in the beautiful countryside of South Gloucestershire.
