Indian Head and Shoulder Massage - Advanced

Your Course
This is a "hands on" 5 week advanced level course in Indian Head Massage. You will be shown further hand moves to incorporate into the existing sequence for back, neck and scalp and adding in a whole new section on facial moves. Participants need to be prepared to work on each other in pairs. Short manual supplied. No note taking required. All participants must have completed the beginner level course.
Participants are asked to wear comfortable loose fitting clothes (not good clothing in case of a spillage). Pleae take a towel to each session and a bottle of drinking water and a cushion.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the 5 week course you will have had the opportunity to:
· Receive a broad overview of the muscles of the face
· Receive an outline of facial acupressure points and be able to perform a short self-treatment facial sequence
· Be able to perform an extended Indian Head Massage sequence
· Be able to set up an appropriate treatment environment
· Be able to outline the main benefits and effects of treatment and aftercare advice
· Understand the contra-indications to receiving an Indian Head and Shoulder Massage
Your Tutor
Karen Briscombe is an Indian Head and Shoulder Massage Practitioner/Tutor and member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. She has been teaching Indian Head Massage in Community Education and workshops since 2001, trained through the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies (IHHHT)

Tuition fees: £45
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
