Influencing Skills
Having the ability to Influence effectively is a must for the modern day manager or trainer. Whilst we are all looking for ways to cut down on waste or make processes leaner, some decisions people make could be to the detriment of the organisation. You may also have many great ideas that will save your team or organisation money in the long run, but need an initial investment to get it started.
These things plus many more require effective Influencing Skills. Having the ability to bring people around to your way of thinking is tough. Understanding the communication style of the person you need to influence, presenting your ideas and helping the other person to see the benefits of what you want to do are all part of being Influential.
In this session we look at the skills, behaviours and tactics required to influence effectively. Using tried and tested methods we will look at topics such as:-
· When to Influence
· The key behaviours and skills needed to influence
· Using a simple 5 step approach to influence effectively
· Using different tools during the 5 step process to quickly change your approach
· Overcoming objectives
The session is very interactive with lots of discussion, role-play scenarios and an action planning session. We can also discuss problems you may have had influencing in the past, or discuss how you should approach someone you need to Influence now.
Prior to the session you will receive detailed joining instruction that highlight the learning objectives and what you need to do to prepare. You will also leave the course with an action plan that details how you will transfer the learning back to your organisation.
