Information, Advice and Guidance - NOCN Level 3 Certificate
Summary
To complete this course you need to be working in an IAG role to be able to successfully be able to reflect on your practice. No specific prior learning is required for learners undertaking the NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Information Advice and Guidance. However the demands and the nature of the qualification require a good level of literacy. To achieve the qualification the learner must successfully complete 15 mandatory unit credits and 9 optional unit credits.
About the Course
There are 5 mandatory units which are:
Providing Information to Clients
Information Advice and Guidance in practice Reflecting on own practice in IAG Referral in IAG practice
The optional units will be discussed with the tutor. There are nine to choose from and you have to achieve 9 credit units to complete the full qualification. The course is currently run as a 3.5 hour session x 20 weeks, study time of 24 hours minimum will be required as homework/portfolio building.

The aim of the Advanced Certificate in Information, Advice and Guidance are to:
* Create a pathway to a career in IAG
* Fill the gap in education provision for people giving IAG at this level
* Help you to establish good practice and to build confidence in your ability to fulfill your role.

The course is assessed by the successful completion of portfolio building. Portfolios will be internally and externally assessed.
There is a high demand of homework required to achieve the qualification.
