Option One - Basic Camera skills

For any DIGITAL SLR - including Canon, Nikon, or Sony users. You may use one of our dslr kits if you haven't bought one yet includes Canon dslr, 28-105mm zoom lens, flashgun, cards etc at no charge.

When to use RAW or JPEG
Understand Camera modes
including PROGRAM, APERTURE priority, SPEED Priority, MANUAL
Auto compensation, ISO techniques, and Low light working
Understanding the Histogram,
Using flash indoors, and outdoors
After lunch enjoy an outdoor location shoot to put it all into practice.

Option Two - How to set up a Portrait Studio

Our studio is equipped with an Elinchrom System

How to set up a studio at home or use a portable studio
The space required, the lights and equipment needed to get you started.
Backdrops and portable studio systems so you can shoot on location. High key - low key lighting techniques
How to use your dslr in a studio

Now you do it, set up the studio using the Elinchrom system
Model shoot to put it into practice

Day Two - How to shoot weddings on Digital, and a bridal model shoot

Learn the people skills and camera skills expected
Develop your technique for shooting weddings on digital using our TEN TOP TIPS Includes Composition, modes, Low light techniques for working in churches. Understand the Histogram, using flash indoors & outdoors. See the world MASTERS at work to gain an insight into the new world of contemporary wedding photography and experience new style skills in capturing images that provoke emotion

Lunch

Now enjoy the opportuntiy to put your learning into practice
First we'll do an outdoor lifestyle portrait shoot in the gardens, we'll step inside the dance hall and learn how to use natural and reflected light, and then move on to fill flash again outside

Then each of you will get the chance to capture beautidul bridal shots in a one-on-one session (using your imagination, and props provided) with one of our models dressed in bridal attire. You should now be inspired by this session!

Subject to the weather conditions we'll step outside and get another chance to capture pictures of the bride in natural light with fill flash

Day Three - Bootcamp day - its all about post production in the Digital Studio
Delegate image review session to take a look at your results and to gain valuable insight and direction to improve your compositions to take you to the next level

Day Four - Story Book Design and Business School

Learn how to design Story book albums which have taken the market by storm in the last few years. Using the world's market leading software we will show you how you can design a double page in under 3 minutes, and complete a 30 page Story Book design in under 4 hours with your own personalisation. If you also run a portrait studio we will show you the market leading application for producing compelling layouts ready for printing at your local printing and framing supplier. Learn how to reverse engineer templates for brochures and designs which you just need to repopulate with new pictures. We will also introduce you to the suppliers we use for our album production here in the UK.

In the afternoon move to the next stage as you build your outline plan in our Business School session to determine what products you are going to sell, how to price them, which markets to target, and where to start
