COURSE CONTENT

This exciting course consists of 3 units of study:
Unit 1
Employment practice in sport and recreation (human resource management, recruitment and selection, motivating staff)
Unit 2
Finance and administration of sport and recreation (customer service, contract law, marketing)
Unit 3
Sports services operations- (providing safe and attractive facilities, programming activities)
The role of the supervisor is crucial to theprovision of good customer service. Supervisors are responsible for the day to day performance of other staff, the well being and safety of customers and staff as well as the day to day operational functions within a facility. ISRM recognises the importance of this role and this course has been developed to address the needs of existing or aspiring supervisors. Study will be on a part time basis and delivery can be adapted to meet the training needs of organisations. Please contact the course leader to discuss options.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Work place experience within a sport or recreational environment is essential and critical to success on the course.
PROGRESSION
Candidates may progress to the Active IQ level 3 Certificate in Supervisory Management in Sport and Recreation.
