Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services(FECH0009)

What will I study?
You will study a selection of mandatory and optional units after discussion with your employer and assessor regarding which would be most relevant.

Mandatory units

• Maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
• Giving customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
• Working effectively as part of a team

Examples of optional units

• Maintaining food safety (preparing/serving)
• Dealing with bookings/customers
• Producing different basic dishes
• Preparing different types of food

What added value will I receive?

• You will attend College one day a week to further your assessment opportunities, build and develop your skills as well as working alongside our full-time students in The Wharncliffe
• Attend Functional Skills classes (if applicable)
• Undertake theory sessions and complete portfolios

What can I progress to?
On completion of the course you could progress to Level 3 Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision.

What are the entry requirements?

• You will need excellent communication skills and be required to successfully complete an interview with a course tutor and employer
• A good standard of written and spoken English
• Be able to multi-task
• You must be committed, have a good work ethic and be prepared to be flexible
