About this Course

This Apprenticeship is ideally suited to learners who have completed the Plumbing Studies Diploma Level 1 and have gained employment, or a new apprentice employed within the plumbing industry. This qualification will help you develop the skills required of the modern day plumber.

What will I study?
  • You will develop your skills in cold water systems, hot water systems, sanitation, central heating systems and drainage systems
  • You will learn various plumbing techniques
  • You will learn the installation of various pipework, materials and components
  • You will learn to develop your practical skills and use of craft tools
  • You will develop your Functional Skills such as English, maths and IT to support your study and enhance your career prospects

    What added value will I receive?
    • The Construction department, including plumbing, was awarded a grade one ‘Outstanding’ for its teaching and learning by Ofsted
    • The plumbing workshops have been refurbished to a high standard ensuring learners’ needs are met while developing employability skills

      What can I progress to?
      Learners who successfully complete their Intermediate qualification would be encouraged to progress on to the Advanced Apprenticeship in Plumbing.
