Course programme

Intermediate French (Stage 2)

NOCN Level 2
Level 2 comprises two stages - 2A (Autumn term) and 2B (Spring term). Completing one stage will give you an accredited NOCN unit. If you complete both stages, 2A and 2B, you will receive the NOCN Level 2 Award for Languages Skills.

The course continues on from the NOCN Level 1 course and assumes that you have a knowledge of French roughly equivalent to having completed the Beginners French NOCN Level 1.

Course content
The 11 week course will provide you with an improved understanding of French, beyond the usual simple holiday-type conversation and basic grammar you are likely to have learned at beginners' level.

By the end of the course you should find yourself in a position to take part in simple yet increasingly mature conversations, understand longer and more complex passages of both spoken and written French and also be able to express opinions.

Assessment
You hand in samples of work done during the course for external moderation and complete relevant paperwork.

Materials Needed
We shall be using Talk French 2 (BBC publications).
