An online adult protection training course designed for anyone who comes into contact with vulnerable adults during work, voluntary or leisure activities.
It has been specifically developed to give you an introduction to adult safeguarding and will raise your awareness of:
- Adult protection legislation and guidance
- Recognition of vulnerable adult abuse
- How to respond to vulnerable adult abuse concerns
- Who to contact when you have a concern
- Fulfilment of your "duty of care"
- Safe practice and keeping vulnerable adults safe
It is compliant with your local Adult Safeguarding Board's requirements and covers everything from concern to referral, so suits the needs of any worker in any field.
The course comprises of five short modules followed by an assessment to test understanding. It should take around an hour to complete, although it can be paused and restarted at any time.
