Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 1/2 (E/F/G) or above is required.

Year 1

During this programme you will study a range of topics that include: service provisions; the principles and values of the caring profession; safeguarding children and young people; person-centred support; development of children through play; and understanding the importance of engagement in leisure and social activities in health and social care, to list just a few.

Additional information

Assessment is by continuous assessment for your main vocational qualification and for English and maths there are set externally assessed exams for both subjects.
