An introduction to the use of studio flash and tungsten lighting to enhance portraiture and still-life photography. You will work in small groups under the guidance of a professional photographer helping you experiment with a set of studio lights and other light control equipment to create high-quality portraits and still-life images.

About this course

- use a hand-held light meter
- create a portrait lit by tungsten and flash lighting
- photograph a still-life object lit by tungsten and flash lighting
- control levels of contrast using reflectors and light shapers
- begin to play with the creative possibilities that control of light allows.
