What will I study?
This course will help students to develop a basic knowledge of the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Industries. Students will be able to explore the employment opportunities that are available in Hospitality Travel and Tourism. The Introductory Certificate also helps learners to develop a range of personal skills and qualities that are required in these industries. The course consists of eight units which are delivered over eight or nine week learning blocks.
How can I progress?
Students can progress to higher qualifications in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism or should they wish, to other subject areas. Any progression will be subject to a satisfactory recommendation from the course tutor.

Course Structure
In order to gain an Introductory Certificate in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism these units will be studied; *Introducing Customer Service This unit introduces the basic aspects of customer service, including the different types of customer. *Planning Trips This unit looks at all the information that people will need to know for their holiday or trip. *Using Displays This unit looks at the different types of displays and how they can be used. *Work Experience This unit provides the opportunity to undertake work experience in the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism sector. *Starting work in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism This unit explores starting work, and the types of jobs in the hospitality, travel and tourism sector. *Working in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism This unit looks at what it means to be at work in the sector. *Personal Effectiveness This unit offers students the opportunity to explore their potential by looking at their strengths and skills. *Social Responsibility at work this unit focuses on the contribution that students can make to their working environment. There is also a unit linked to a two week work experience programme.
