Introductory Certificate Of Vocational Studies

The programme is made up of a variety of subjects which include art, catering, health/childcare, motor vehicle, engineering, woodwork, hairdressing, performing arts, sport and travel and tourism. There will be the opportunity to undertake work experience and work related learning activities.Methods of teaching will include practical sessions, written assignments and role play. Undertaking voluntary work placements or a part-time job to gain experience and confidence in the workplace is encouraged. All students without a GCSE at grade A*-C in English or Maths will be required as a condition of the programme to undertake either a GCSE or Functional Skills programme.
