Working safely meets the government's guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive's 'passport' syllabus.
Who should attend the IOSH Working Safely course?
Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this course offers exactly that.
It can be used as preparation training for the CITB Health, safety and environment test or as refresher training. This course is the first step towards a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card).
What are the benefits of attending IOSH Working Safely training? Delegates will be able to carry out the following:
• Carry out work activities without risk to themselves or others and understand the consequences if they fail to work safely
• Identify hazards, risks and risk controls and understand the importance of risk assessment with examples of everyday use of risk assessment
• Take appropriate workplace precautions and understand their importance in the work environment
• Identify lines of communication in their places of work
• Identify safety signs and signals
• Learn how and to whom to report accidents, incidents and near misses in the workplace

How is the IOSH Working Safely course assessed?
