Objectives:
To enable course delegates to enhance their knowledge and skills in vehicle systems, and carry out practical and written assessments relevant to these systems.
Be able to demonstrate proficiency in vehicle inspection, maintenance and repair.
Improve their chances of success in obtaining the IRTEC Licence.
Content:
· Welcome/introductions and attendee expectations.
· Overview of what will take place throughout the day.
· Invigilator's briefing.
· Discuss practical assessment/written test environment/time allowed.
· Methods of assessment and expected standards.
· Attitude and confidence.
· Understanding of what is required/your approach.
· Exercises/guided preparation and practice sessions.
· Planning and logical routine.
· Sample of Eight modules assessed to obtain IRTEC Licence.
· Visual assessment/operational assessment/reporting/rectification/adjustment/safety critical elements. Example;
· Chassis/Cab Inspection techniques.
