About this course
The course will help delegates to understand the principles of good Environmental Management and to develop their knowledge of the environmental management standards. It will also develop delegates’ knowledge & understanding of different audit types, and the practical skills required to plan, execute and report environmental management audits. On completion, delegates will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of an EMS based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard or EMAS standards at a level acceptable to certification bodies. This course satisfies the training requirements for those who wish to register with the IRCA’s auditor registration scheme (depending on overall course mark).
This course satisfies the training requirement for those seeking to register to register to the IEMA and/or the IRCA auditing scheme. It is also an essential for any serious environmental practitioner, particularly those who have the main responsibility for implementing and maintaining their environmental management system and manage an audit programme for internal audits. Essential also to those who are required to perform more demanding and extensive company audits (corporate auditing); or who are required to regularly assess the performance of other companies (supplier, contractor and/or certification auditors); and for those who are seeking to develop their auditing and environmental skills to a professional level.
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
Those attending this course are expected to have prior knowledge, for a full breakdown of the prior knowledge criteria please refer to the summary of the syllabus
Delegates successfully completing the course, including examination, will be awarded a choice of either an IEMA registered certificate or an IRCA (A17948) registered certificate. Should you wish to have both certificates this will incur an additional £50 charge (plus VAT) to cover administrative costs. Application for both certificates is also time sensitive and must also be opted for within 3 months of passing the course exam.
